PODCAST: VIC BLACK

P

Vic Black’s time in New York was rewarding, but way too short. Over two seasons — 2013 and 2014 — and 56 appearances with the Mets he compiled a 2.83 ERA.

We had the opportunity to catch up with Black from his hometown in Amarillo, Texas. He discusses growing up and not having a lot of interest in baseball, how that changed, getting drafted and eventually traded to New York and pitching on the biggest stage in the world. Plus, since he walked away from the game after the 2018 season, Black has begun a burgeoning business teaching and mentoring young pitchers. You can find him on Facebook and Instagram @thearmdoc.
